Noted writer Stany D'Souza, popularly known as Stany Bela, has been chosen for this year's Leo Rodrigues Family Kittall Youth Literary Award.
The award would be presented at a special function to be held on August 23. The function would be presided over by entrepreneur and philanthropist Leo Rodrigues who would also hand over the award, a release said.
Konkani Writer Walter Nandalike would be the chief guest at the function.
Stany Bela writes poems, short stories, essays, plays and reviews in various languages including Konkani, Kannada, Tulu and Malayalam. He had also translated works from other languages, the release said.
