Youths climb atop mobile tower seeking reservation for Gujjars

Three youths belonging to the Gujjar community sent the police into a tizzy after they climbed atop a BSNL mobile phone tower in Bhilwara town today, demanding reservation under special backward classes (SBCs).

Police tried to convince the youths to come down and spoke to community leaders in this regard.

Police said the youths were yest to be identified.

"We are trying to persuade them to come down," Subhash Nagar police station SHO Pramod Sharma told PTI.

After the Rajasthan High Court struck down reservation to Gujjars and other communities falling under SBCs, the community members have been staging protests.
