Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang has sanctioned Rs 40 lakh as immediate relief to the families affected by storm in four districts of the state.
Zeliang made an aerial survey of Chuchuyimlang and surrounding villages under Mokokchung district yesterday and sanctioned the money through the CM's Relief Fund.
He handed a cheque of Rs ten lakh to Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar, as relief to the destroyed households in the storm which lashed several villages in the district on Sunday last.

The CM also gave away cheques of Rs ten lakh each to Zunheboto and Mon districts and Rs five lakh to Longleng district for relief of the affected villages.
Disaster Management team along with the Secretary came to inspect the affected villages and relief would be given after the verification was done through the respective DCs of the districts, an official statement said.
