Zinc futures edged up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 104.80 per kg today as speculators enlarged positions amid positive cues from global markets and rising domestic demand.
Zinc for delivery in January was trading 30 paise, or 0.29 per cent, higher at Rs 104.80 per kg in a business turnover of 656 lots in futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange.
The metal for delivery in far-month February also rose 10 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 105.55 per kg with a business turnover of 7 lots.

Marketmen said besides improved demand in the spot market, a strength in base metals overseas, helped strengthen the zinc at futures trade here.
Globally, zinc was trading 0.6 per cent higher at the London Metal Exchange today.
