Airbea Extends Support To Insurance Staff Strike Call

The United Front allies have already threatened to oppose the Insurance Regulatory Authority Bill in Parliament and have resolved to stall privatisation of the insurance sector.

Airbea is the second bank employees association to extend its support to the striking insurance employees after the All India Bank Employees Association,.

Airbea, in a statement said it was expected that the present government, which was installed at the centre after the previous ruling party was rejected for their anti-people economic policy, would desist from embarking upon further dismantling of the public sectors.

The statement added that it was unfortunate that this hope has been belied as the government, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, is going ahead with its plans to open up the insurance sector to private monopolists disregarding protests from all sections of people.
