Albright Vows Big Strike Against Iraq

US secretary of state Madeleine Albright vowed on Sunday that any US-led bombardment of Iraq for defying UN arms inspectors would be substantial. She warned that far from a pinprick that some critics have derided in the past any attack would be sustained and heavy. Albright said time was running out for a diplomatic option for Iraq, predicting that Saddam Hussein had weeks rather than months to comply with the UN resolutions. I think the most important thing for Saddam to hear is that the diplomatic option the time on that is running out, Albright said.
