An Unlikely Coup-Maker

Fiji's ethnic Indian Prime Minister, Mahendra Pal Chau-dhry, was ousted from power on Fri-day. George Speight is the leader of the coup.
George Speight has been described as an unlikely coup-maker, a failed businessman and a political lightweight.
He is the son of an opposition MP who was a senior member in the government of 1987 coup leader Sitiveni Rabuka which was finally voted out of office.
Chaudhry, when he came to power in a landslide victory a year ago, sacked Speight as chairman of two Fijian firms involved in the country
