Byford Plans Energy From Waste Plant

Delhi-based Byford Group is in talks with Eibera Corporation of Japan for producing energy from waste in Noida.
According to company estimates, about 500 to 600 tonnes of waste is generated in Noida daily which can be handled by one incinerator to produce 2-2.5 mw.
The group plans to use the fluidised bed circulating sand incineration method based on the pyrolisis technology. Under the process, heat produced during incineration of waste is trapped and diverted to generate electricity. This process, which checks release of toxic gases into the air, is already in use in Japan and other advanced countries.
