Catvision Granted Licence For Cable Tv Project

The licence to Catvision to operate terrestrial TV network through wireless frequencies was granted in February for the five townships of Rourkela, Bhilai, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Durgapur. The townships are controlled and managed by SAIL and Tata Steel.

We were allotted 77 MHz for MMDS as the standing advisory commission on frequency allocation was of the opinion the TV network through MMDS is just for captive townships and not for general broadcasting like Doordarshan does,
