China, Russia Keen To Be Partners In 14th Ietf

China and Russia have evinced keen interest to be the partner country at the 14th Indian Engineering Trade Fair to be held in 2001. It was also formally announced that Korea would be the partner country at the 13th IETF.
At the wrap-up session of the 12th IETF, CII president Shekhar Dutta said both China and Russia were interested in being partners with the CII at the 2001 fair.
Dutta said the name of the fair will also be changed from the present Indian Engineering Trade Fair to one that reflects its status as a trade fair that has outgrown its definition as an exhibition of engineering goods. However, the CII is yet to decide on a new name for the fair.
The 12 th IETF has generated trade enquiries worth Rs 1600 crore compared to Rs 1100 crore generated during the same period at the 11th IETF in 1995.
