Ec Orders Repoll In Madhepura, Baghpat

The Election Commission yesterday ordered repoll in 327 polling stations in Madhepura constituency in Bihar and in 158 polling stations in Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh in view of large-scale booth capturing in the two constituencies.
An EC spokesman said the repoll in Madhepura will be conducted on February 27 and in Baghpat on February 28.
The Commission announced that repoll in Patna constituency, where election had been declared null and void, will be held on March 30.

Referring to polling in Nagaland and Mizoram, the Commission spokesman said in Nagaland the turnout of voters for the lone Lok Sabha seat and the state assembly was around 32 per cent.
In Mizoram, the polling percentage was between 50-55 per cent for the lone seat.
Counting of votes for the two Lok Sabha seats and 60-member Meghalaya assembly was in progress, he added.
