BSCAL

The Essen group of industries has launched Indiaelectricmarket.com a portal on the electrical industry. A company statement said the portal had comprehensive data on the electrical industry ranging from generation, transmission, distribution data and products, industrial electrical products, to technology updates. It also provided an e-commerce platform for trade.

Indiaelectricmarket.com has been promoted by Diamond Industrial Fiscal Services an Essen group company listed on the Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Vadodara stock exchanges.

The statement added that the detailed business plan and blue print of the portal was made by BNP Prime Peregrine Investments, investment bankers to the company. The portal envisaged a gross turnover of Rs 300 crore in the first full year of operations and claimed that as on date the portal had been valued at Rs 60 lakh.

The portal has a team of 300 people in technical support, product validation, information technology, portal promotion, customer relationship management and e-business. The team is spread over 22 domestic and four international offices. The international offices are expected to be operational two months from now. These are in Dubai, London, California and Johannesburg. It also has business associates in the SAARC region and other countries. Its domestic offices include the cities of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Mumbai, Indore, Bangalore and Chennai.

The statement said the portal had entered into alliances with international inspection, validation and certification firms to offer a full range of product validation systems for the products being sold through it. It observed that the electrical industry in its present state left room for corporatisation and for organisation of trade on one platform.
