The Haryana government will sanction Rs 18.68 crore as grants-in-aid to the states municipal committees for development work in urban slums, said local bodies minister Kamla Verma here yesterday. Five towns - Yamunanagar, Ambala City, Bhiwani, Pehowa and Bawal - have been identified for the Integrated Development of Small and Medium Towns scheme. In all, the government will spend Rs 19 crore to improve basic services like sewerage, water supply and roads.
