International Gemmological Institute (IGI), the largest independent gem certification and appraisal institute, has set up its office in the city. Customers can obtain an independent and scientifically-analysed description of a diamond's characteristics from the institute which also provides and IGI Diamond Report for each diamond. "Indian customers can benefit from international grading standards and the IGI report will help alleviate the anxiety when they purchase diamonds," Tehmasp Printer, general manager, IGI India said.
