Infotech Site To Offer E-Business Solutions

InfoTech Enterp-rises Ltd yesterday unveiled e-solutions@infotech, a focused e-business initiative to offer Internet solutions and services in the global Indian market. As the first major step in this direction, InfoTech tied up with OpenShop Internet Software, a leading e-business solutions company based in Munich, as an exclusive distributor to offer their solutions in the Indian market. Solutions from OpenShop facilitate the creation of virtual shops and end-to-end shopping transactions. They also enable Internet service providers (ISPs) to host multiple virtual shops. Announcing the tieup with OpenShop, InfoTech Enterprises managing director, B V R Mohan Reddy said for the past six to nine months, his company had been working to reposition software development in e-business. The unveiling of e-solutions@infotech was the culmination of these efforts, he said. InfoTech executive vice-president O R S Rao said the strategic partnership with OpenShop would deliver best value to the Indian customer by complementing the excellent solutions from OpenShop with world class technical support from InfoTech.

 

Channel account manager of OpenShop, Christine Karst, said OpenShop manufactured highly innovative e-commerce software for business applications in the business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) sector, with technology that enabled easy integration of e-business solutions into existing IT systems. Their successful partners include Intel, Compaq, Sun, jdEdwards, among others.
