Malaysia Palm Oil Exports Up

Cargo surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS) Malaysia Sdn Bhd said on Tuesday it estimated Malaysia's palm oil exports for January at 771,806 tonne compared with 769,512 tonne for December. It said the exports comprised 235,502 tonne of RBD palm oil, 242,208 tonne of RBD palmolein and 74,355 tonne of RBD palm stearin. The other products accounted for 219,741 tonne. Countries in the European Union bought the most Malaysian palm oil in January, taking 1,56,588 tonne. Pakistan was the second top buyer taking 117,932 tonne followed by India which bought 1,16,143 tonne, Egypt (43,250 tonne) and China (41,160 tonne).
