Operator Set To Take The Reins

With a perception that the pre-monsoon sale may be over, ICE (information technology, communications and entertainment) stocks, which had seen a massive meltdown in the summer, could look forward to better times.

Traditionally, the markets have looked to one individual for leadership, and the leadership of the operator seems to be re-emerging after a brief hiatus.

Big Daddy is believed to have picked up 50,000 shares of Satyam, while 1,00,000 shares of Infosys were lapped up by the Y Car Brokerage.
The PEG funda
In a market where fundamentals go for a toss, PEG (price earnings to EPS growth ratio) continues to enthuse the analyst community.
In a bull market analysts are not very finicky about the PEG's gulped but the scenario undergoes a dramatic shift when the purse strings are tightened.
A PEG of .4 for Global Tele-Systems, .2 for Himachal Futuristic and .8 for Satyam Computer is something to ponder about.
