Pawan Kumar Appointed Ceo Of Dsq Soft

Pawan Kumar, till recently the president of IBM Global Services, has been appointed president and chief executive officer, DSQ Software Ltd.
He takes over from Dinesh Dalmia, who announced his decision to step down from the top job recently.
He will, however, continue to give strategic direction to the company as vice chairman DSQ Software, company sources said.

It may be recalled that Dalmia had earlier named Arun Tolani as his successor at DSQ Software. Tolani was widely expected to takeover the reins in May.
Company sources, clarified that Kumar, who currently heads the group's newly started
Internet initiative DSQworld.com, has been appointed as CEO in place of Tolani who has conveyed his inability to take charge at the moment on health grounds. Tolani at present heads DSQ Software's US operations.
According to market sources, health reasons apart, Tolani is said to be pursuing dotcom plans of his own.
It is, however, not known whether he will pursue his plan while continuing with DSQ Software or will eventually be moving out.
Pawan Kumar holds a bachelor and masters degree from IIT, Kanpur. He has been credited with setting up IBM Global Services in 1996.
Prior to this assignment, Kumar had spent 19 years with Tata Consultancy Services and over three years with Fujitsu ICIM.
