Stic Is Gsa For Virgin Atlantic

BSCAL

Subhash Goyal-promoted Stic group of companies has signed up with UK's second-largest airline, Virgin Atlantic, to be its offland GSA to develop the market. Virgin Atlantic, which flies to various US destinations like Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, New York, Boston and Orlando from Heathrow airport and also to Greece, is understood to be negotiating with Air India for joint marketing and similar promotional activities.

Stic Travel India Pvt Ltd and IATO president Subhash Goyal admitted that the agreement has been signed with Virgin Atlantic, rated just next to British Airways in the UK.

Airlines sources said even if Virgin Atlantic and Air India come to a joint marketing agreement to promote each other, this does not mean Virgin Atlantic wants to start flights to India.

Karen Johnson, manager Interline & offline for Virgin Atlantic said, "this appointment of Stic as GSA will help to develop the growing demand for travel from India and offer travellers an alternative service in the USA."

"By appointing Stic we will be able to provide support for local travel agents and develop new business for Virgin Atlantic and the retail travel agency trade," he added. Stic group acts as the GSA of various foreign airlines like Air Lanka, Malaysian Airlines and Iberia Airlines and Holland-America Cruise Liner.

Stic has also branched out abroad and has open up business avenues in Male.
