NSE REPORT
The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed trades worth Rs 638.43 crore yesterday. Of this, debenture trade volume accounted for Rs 29.98 lakh.
A total of 103 trades took place among government securities and 369 trades in corporate debentures.

Prices of the 12.59 per cent security maturing in 2004 witnessed a steep fall of nearly 10 paise during the day as a primary dealer was heavily offloading the paper in the market.
The security opened at Rs 106.30 during the early trading hours and closed at Rs 106.20, said a dealer.
The 10.85 per cent paper maturing in 2001 was traded at Rs 80 crore at a weighted yield of 10.62 per cent, while the 13.05 per cent state government loans maturing in 2007 were traded for Rs 32 crore.
Among corporate debentures, heavy demand was witnessed for the zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD which registered 290 trades with volumes amounting to Rs 23.71 lakh.
