Turnover Dips To Rs 42.65 Cr

A seven-day repo deal was struck in the 13.50-per cent central government security for Rs 12 crore. It was concluded at a yield of 7.50 per cent and is to be settled after three days. The 13.50-per cent gilt saw a Rs 5-crore trade at a yield of 13.45 per cent. The deal is to be settled the day. The zero-coupon security maturing in 1999 was traded at a yield of 14.04 per cent. It was wrapped up at a price of Rs 72.74. The public sector bonds also attracted a few deals in the debt market. They included the tax-free 9 per cent HUDCO bond maturing in 2002 which was traded for Rs 7 crore. The transaction, to be settled the same day, was struck at a price of Rs 81.30. The 9-per cent IRFC bond maturing in 2001 was traded for Rs 1 crore.
