Us Issuing Post-Dated H1 Visas

The US consulate has commenced issuing post-dated visas for non-immigrant temporary workers from India after the global annual limit of 65,000 visas expired in May. It has also decided not issue any visas to officials going on training in areas of high technology that can be used in making weapons of war.
US consular officer, Bruce Mckenzie said H1 visas for temporary workers, mostly software personnel, will now be issued on a post-dated basis. The annual quota of 65,000 visas has expired and the new quota will take effect in October.
