Falcon Tyres, part of Rs 3.5 crore during 1998-99 compared with Rs 2.6 crore in 1997-98. The turnover of the company for 1998-99 was Rs 103 crore. A dividend of 24 per cent has been declared for 1998-99 compared with 22 per cent during 1997-98. The company has expanded its manufacturing capacity at its Mysore plant to 350,000 tyres a month from 240,000 tyres a Imonth. According to a company press statement, the expansion was carried out at a cost of Rs 12 crore with funds drawn from internal accruals. or Rs 3 crore to the Prime Minister for the National Defence Fund.
