Alcatel Onetouch entered the tablet market on Friday by launching the POP 8S, priced at Rs 10,499 and available in full black finish exclusively on Flipkart.
The POP 8S has a 1.2 GHz quadcore processor, in a slim 7.9-mm design featuring a 20.32-cm screen and 1280 x 800 WXGA IPS display. Weighing 327 grammes, the POP 8S runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. The smartphone has 1 GB RAM with 8 GB storage, expandable to up to 64 GB.
Praveen Valecha, regional director for Alcatel Onetouch, India, said: “There is much more to come as we implement this product strategy across our range of devices. The launch of the POP 8S ‘4G LTE’ tablet through our strategic partner Flipkart is the first step towards embarking on a new journey of delighting customers in the tablet segment.”
