California Software Company (Calsoft) has announced that it has recently entered into a strategic alliance with Malata in China, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for mobile phones, DVD players, LCD monitors, set top boxes and MP3 players.

Under the terms of the arrangement, the company will provide software engineering to enhance Malata's product line, and offer its hi-tech services to facilitate Malata - which manufactures over 10 million electronic devices a year - to offer feature-rich devices.

"The demand for embedded devices and handheld devices to support rich content, applications, and interfaces is booming and this is a great opportunity for Calsoft to enter an important and growing market like China," S Sam Santhosh, managing director & CEO, California Software, said.

In November 2005, the company and its 100% US subsidiary CSWL, a leading provider of embedded software engineering, BIOS, and content development services had entered into an agreement with Adobe Systems Inc. The agreement also provides for Calsoft's software engineering services to integrate Flash Player into embedded systems, ensuring on-time delivery and superior product quality at a very reasonable cost.
