HCL Infosystems Q3 net up 18%

HCL Infosystems has reported a 18% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 65.40 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 55.47 crore in Q3FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 2,005.39 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 1,179.32 crore in Q3FY04.

The company, on a stand-alone basis, has reported a net profit of Rs 41.31 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 36.35 crore in Q3FY04. Total Income increased from Rs 408.90 crore in Q3FY04 to Rs 528.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, the release said.

The board has approved payment of 70% 3rd interim (quarterly) dividend for the year 2004-2005, the release added.

The board also approved proposals for the sub-division of equity share of Rs 10 each into five equity shares of Rs 2/- each, and issuing stock options to employees of the company and its subsidiary under the Employee Stock based Compensation Plan 2005.
