Infotech Enterprises Limited, a city-based technology solutions provider offering engineering and geographic information services, has signed a new long-term contract with Bombardier Transportation to continue to provide engineering, electronic design, technical publications and IT-related services to the latter’s divisions worldwide.
The contract builds on a relationship that started in 2003 and now Infotech supports all Bombardier divisions across multiple technologies and projects in a real-time engineering environment.
Under the renewed contract, the projects include phase-II of the Delhi Metro for which Bombardier will soon start supplying trains. The original relationship was executed under the build, operate and transfer (BOT) framework.
Germany-based Bombardier Transportation, with a presence in over 60 countries, has an installed base of over 100,000 vehicles worldwide, according to a press release on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Infotech has acquired 100 per cent stake in TTM India Private Limited. The company, on September 8, 2008, announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire US-based Time to Market Inc (TTM) and its affiliates in Bangalore and Hyderabad in all all-cash deal and that the buyout will mark its foray into the hitech industry.
TTM, a 10-year-old company focused on back-end physical design within application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design for semiconductor manufacturers, clocked revenues of $7.5 million (around Rs 34.5 crore) last year. It has 40 engineers in San Jose in the US, 80 in Hyderabad and 10 in Bangalore, serving about 20 active clients globally.
