| InfxQ Systems, a US-based BPO company is likely to acquire majority control in Bangalore-based InKnowTech Systems, which offers similar services. It focusses on remote network and IT infrastructure management services, technical support services and transaction processing services. |
| This acquisition is being made by InfxQ's Indian subsidiary, InfxQ Knowledge Services, in a cash transaction of close to Rs 5 crore. |
| InknowTech, started by B G Balakrishna, earlier president & CEO of Aztec Software, provides remote IT and network management services. Balakrishna however declined to comment on the deal. The company has close to 100 people and has a topline of around Rs 5 crore and is yet to make profits. |
| It is understood that the deal is being backed by Charter Ventures which is among the top VCs in the US. |
| Partners at Charter Ventures are learnt to have set up InfxQ as a company to offer services, among others, to Charter's investee companies. When a Charter-funded company outsources its network and remote management services to InfxQ, the work will be offshored to InfxQ's Indian subsidiary with access to InknowTech Systems. |
