The IT industry, which is reeling under the impact of global meltdown, is expected to recover by late 2009 or early next year, a top official of software major Infosys said.
“We are expecting it (the IT industry) to recover by late 2009 or early 2010,” said Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys.
Though the sector was hit by the downturn, the domestic IT services industry is “seeing some silverline”, he said.
About the lay-offs in the industry due to the gloomy economic scenario, Gopalakrishnan said there was only “some trimming” in the industry.
