Marlabs Incorporation, a global service provider in application development, management and consulting services based in New Jersey plans to expand its offshore services in India.

The company, which focusses on healthcare, litigation and financial services plans to more than triple its headcount from the present 70 to 300 by the middle of next year.

The company, which has an overall revenue of $28 million and has witnessed a year-on-year growth rate of 100 per cent in the past two years, sees a greater value proposition and cost advantage in outsourcing to India.

"Although the cost advantage of offshore outsourcing to India has reduced compared to what it was 3-4 years, we still prefer India for its value proposition and talent pool," says Anil Bhatia, executive vice president and head of global services.

It has one offshore outsourcing centre in India and as part of its expansion strategy is looking out for more space in the city.

The company which is mainly into nearshore outsourcing is just one year into offshoring and has earned an offshoring revenue of $ 5 million.
