| Ravi Gopinath to take over as Geometric MD |

| The board of directors of Geometric Software Solutions, which met today, approved the appointment of Ravi Gopinath as the managing director and chief executive officer w.e.f October 4, 2006. According to a release issued by Geometric to the BSE today, Gopinath succeeds Manu Parpia who will continue serving as vice chairman & executive director of the company. "This step is clearly a defining moment for Geometric. Ravi has an outstanding track record in the PLM and engineering services industry. He will bring in a fresh approach and insights, which, I believe, are essential for Geometric to achieve its full potential as a world-class specialised solutions and services company by adding greater value to its customers.
