RMI announces India centre

RMI Technologies, promoted by Atiq Raza, a Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur, has announced the setting up of its India R&D centre.
 
The company, backed by blue chip venture capital firms such as Warburg Pincus and Benchmark Capital, designs, develops and sells a portfolio of silicon solutions which enable the growing convergence of networking and computing systems designs.
 
Said Raza, who played a role in AMD's growth: "We are excited about the contribution of the Bangalore team to our expanding global presence. With RMI India, we are harnessing India's well-known creativity and technical expertise to deliver the highest quality silicon, software and systems solutions for the information infrastructure."
 
In addition to the launch of this centre, RMI also announced two new product families for enterprise and access markets.
 
These solutions provides advanced packet services over existing transport infrastructure and are optimised for advanced digital imaging applications.
