| Unisys Corporation will add two more global sourcing operations centres in India to expand its offshore resources to 6,000 people by 2008. According to an official statement isuued today, the second facility in Whitefield, on the outskirts of Bangalore will be operational by mid-October. The third facility will be located in Hyderabad and is expected to be operational in the Q2FY07. The Whitefield and Hyderabad faciities will allow Unisys to expand beyond its original Bangalore centre, which is currently operating at full capacity, it said. These facilities will enable Unisys tap into a broader talent pool while providing customer service capabilities, such as further backup and disaster recovery solutions for the initial Bangalore facility. The two new Indian centres continue Unisys expansion of its global services capabilities. Earlier this year, the company opened new centres in Budapest, Hungary and Shanghai, China. |
