Iran has released a "never before seen" photo of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei alongside Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah.
The photo published on the supreme leader's official website shows Nasrallah with Khamenei on his right and Qassem Soleimani -- the commander of Iran's elite Qods Force -- on his left.
The three men are shown in front of what appears to be a door covered by a curtain and surrounded by shelves stacked with books -- decor associated with Khamenei's Tehran office.

A Canadian tourist died Saturday while parachuting from the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and Tanzania's top tourist attraction.
Justin Kyllo, 51, was killed after his parachute failed to open, Tanzanian National Parks spokesman Pascal Shelutete said.
Kyllo had arrived in the country on September 20, he said.
Around 50,000 people climb the nearly 6,000-metre mountain, located near the northeastern frontier with Kenya, every year.

US sprinter Christian Coleman romped into the World Championships 100m final on Saturday, winning his semi-final in 9.88sec.
Coleman, the fastest man in the world this year over the distance, took the tape ahead of Canada's Aaron Brown, who was second in 10.12sec.
It was an emphatic display from the 23-year-old Coleman, the heavy favourite to claim gold later Saturday.
The stocky American erupted smoothly out of the blocks and led almost from start to finish, easing up well before the line.

Nine people, including a soldier and a policeman, were killed in two separate attacks by jihadists in restive northeast Nigeria, officials and vigilantes said Saturday.
Fighters from the IS-aligned Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) group attacked Nigerian and Chadian troops in the town of Gajiram late Friday, prompting a fierce battle in which eight people were killed.
"We lost eight people in the attack including a policeman, a local hunter and six residents," local district official Shettima Maina told AFP.
The militants in several pickup trucks fitted with machine guns attacked the town, 80 kilometres (50 miles) from regional capital Maiduguri, and engaged Nigerian and Chadian troops assisted by local hunters in battle, Maina said.

Armed raiders killed eight civilians in an attack on a village Saturday in Burkina Faso's troubled north, with another person missing, security sources said.
The attack happened on Saturday morning in the village of Komsilga, in the Zimtanga district, one source said.
"They also burnt shops and motorcycles," the source said, adding that security forces had been deployed for "clearing up operations."
Another source said around 20 attackers came on motorbikes.
"A resident was kidnapped by the assailants," the second source said.
Nine civilians were killed in two separate attacks in the same region in the past week.
Burkina Faso has become part of a seven-year-old jihadist insurgency in the poor, fragile Sahel region.
More than 580 people have been killed since early 2015, according to an AFP toll.

Protecting a potentially vulnerable whistleblower versus the public's need to know: a US newspaper's publication of information on the man whose complaint led to an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump has sparked controversy and debate.
After the release of a complaint accusing Trump of having solicited "interference from a foreign country in the 2020 US election," The New York Times reported that the whistleblower is a CIA officer once posted to the White House who is an expert on European issues and the political situation in Ukraine.

Meghan Markle has visited the site where a young female student was murdered in South Africa last month in a show of solidarity with victims of gender violence in one of the world's most dangerous countries for women.
The Duchess of Sussex tied a yellow ribbon in memory of 19-year old Uyinene Mrwetyana, brutally raped and killed in the coastal city of Cape Town, where she was attending university.
The visit took place secretly this week but was announced on the official Sussex Royal Instagram page on Saturday.
