Match 41 of IPL 2025 has sixth-placed Mumbai Indians facing off against ninth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second clash of the league stage at the Rajiv Gandhi Internationsl Stadium in Hyderabad tonight. MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first against SRH on the night.  Mumbai Indians have turned their season around with three consecutive wins, the latest being a dominant nine-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings.

SRH, meanwhile, come into this match after losing the reverse fixture to MI. Their explosive batting lineup was neutralized by disciplined bowling from Bumrah and Jacks, resulting in a below-par score. MI chased it down comfortably with Jacks, Rohit, Rickelton, and Suryakumar all chipping in. A small hiccup at the end added a touch of drama, but Hardik Pandya’s cameo ensured MI crossed the line.

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad: Pitch report for SRH vs MI IPL 2025

The pitch report coming in from Hyderabad courtesy of Danny Morrison and Matthew Hayden: Very hot here in Hyderabad. There is a bias in the dimensions - 63m to the right and 70m to the left. Down the ground is 77m. Third time on this particular pitch, this is where all those high scoring games have come. The pitch is very dry and hard. It is a 200+ wicket, but will depend on who can take the early advantage. Both teams have some skilled operators of swing and seam. Won’t be as high as that first game against Rajasthan, but still a great batting surface.
Mumbai Indians have had a tendency to arrive fashionable late to the IPL party, but when they do arrive, they tend to gatecrash the playoffs. The MI juggernaut is picking up some steam with three wins on the trot. Buoyed by the return of Jasprit Bumrah and reinvigorated by Rohit Sharma finally finding some form in the previous game, this is not a Mumbai Indians side that you want to be coming up against. These two sides produced an absolute run fest at the Uppal Stadium last year, and this shouldn’t be very different. We can expect another belter of a surface and lots of six hitting. Stick around…
