Pitch report for RR vs LSG
Listen to This Article
Rajasthan Royals (RR) will look to keep their IPL 2026 playoff hopes alive as they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 64 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur today. RR skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and invited Rishabh Pant-led LSG to bat first.
With the league stage entering its final week, RR know a victory could push them back into the top four and strengthen their chances of reaching the playoffs.
The Royals are currently heavily dependent on their top order for runs. Captain Riyan Parag returning to form is a major positive, but the middle order remains a concern after their collapse from 161/2 to 193/8 in the previous game. Their bowling, too, has lacked consistency apart from Jofra Archer, who has been their standout performer this season.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium: Pitch report for RR vs LSG, IPL 2026
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium pitch in Jaipur looks ideal for another high-scoring contest. With temperatures soaring past 40 degrees, the hot conditions could test players physically and mentally, especially at this stage of the tournament.
The square boundaries are relatively short at around 65 metres, while the straight boundary stretches to 76 metres, giving batters value for their shots.
The surface appears flat and hard, with well-rolled grass but no live grass left on the wicket, suggesting consistent bounce and little assistance for seamers. With one previous game on this strip producing a 228-plus total that was chased comfortably, teams winning the toss may prefer to bowl first. A score in excess of 220-230 could be considered competitive.
