India produced a ruthless performance in their final group stage match as Harmanpreet Singh's men thrashed Kazakhstan 15-0 in the Asia Cup Hockey 2025 at Rajgir Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar on Monday. The hosts combined sharp field play with penalty-corner conversions and penalty strokes, showcasing their depth and attacking variety.
Abhishek leads the charge with four goals
Forward Abhishek was the star of the match, netting four field goals in the 5th, 8th, 20th and 59th minutes. His clinical finishing set the tone early and ensured India maintained constant pressure on the Kazakh defence.
Hat-trick for Sukhjeet, Gurjraj shines with three
Sukhjeet Singh added a fine hat-trick with goals in the 15th, 32nd and 38th minutes, each reflecting his sharpness inside the circle. Gurjraj Singh matched him with three strikes of his own — one through a penalty corner in the 24th minute and two from penalty strokes in the 31st and 48th minutes.
Goals spread across the squad
India’s strength was further underlined by contributions from several players. Captain Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the 26th minute, while defender Amit Rohidas added another in the 29th. Rajinder scored a field goal in the 32nd minute, Sanjay struck from a penalty corner in the 54th, and Dilpreet Singh rounded off the tally with a field goal in the 55th.

With relentless attacks, precise finishing and a spread of scorers, India overwhelmed Kazakhstan in every quarter. The result not only secured a massive win but also reinforced India’s credentials as one of the strongest contenders for the Asia Cup title.
