The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 continued with Day 16 action at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, with two big matches on the card today. In the first match of the night, Jaipur Pink Panthers thrased UP Yoddhas by 12 points to secure their first home leg win in the season, while Puneri Paltan beat Telugu Tiatns by 39-33 to regain the top spot at the points table.
Match 1: UP Yoddhas vs Jaipur Pink Panthers
Jaipur Pink Panthers registered their first home win of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, defeating UP Yoddhas 41-29 at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. Backed by a roaring crowd, the two-time champions produced a commanding performance on both ends of the mat.
Nitin Kumar continued his fine run with a Super 10, while Ali Samadi impressed with nine raid points. Reza Mirbagheri contributed four tackles, supported by Deepanshu Khatri and Aryan Kumar, who picked up three tackles each. For UP Yoddhas, Gagan Gowda stood out with 15 points, while captain Sumit Sangwan added four tackle points, though their efforts could not prevent defeat.
The Yoddhas started strong, taking an early lead through Shivam Chaudhary and Bhavani Rajput. However, Jaipur quickly hit back, with Samadi and Nitin leading a revival. Mirbagheri’s tackle helped inflict the first all out, giving the hosts control. The Iranian duo then played a key role in securing another all out, allowing the Panthers to head into halftime with a dominant 23-12 lead.
In the second half, Gowda tried to spark a comeback, while Sangwan added defensive grit. But Jaipur’s defence held firm, with Deepanshu Khatri’s Super Tackle ensuring the hosts maintained their double-digit advantage.
The Panthers slowed the tempo in the final stages but remained clinical. Completing ten tackle points for the first time this season, they sealed a convincing 41-29 win. Despite Gowda’s late Super Raid, the Pink Panthers finished the night in style to delight the home fans.
Match 2: Puneri Paltan vs Telugu Titans
The second Jaipur leg of PKL 2025 rolls on with a mouth-watering clash as two in-form teams, Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans, lock horns in Match 32, the second game of the night.
Both sides are led by dynamic all-rounders who bring different shades of leadership. For Pune, skipper Aslam Inamdar has been nothing short of inspirational, often taking responsibility in crunch moments. On the other side, Telugu Titans’ captain Vijay Malik, known for his calm and composed approach, shares a strong bond with coach Krishna Kumar Hooda and has been central to the team’s recent rise in form.
Puneri Paltan will be aiming for consistency, having shown flashes of brilliance but struggling to sustain momentum. Their powerful raiding unit remains a big threat, and they’ll be hoping to put early pressure on the Titans.
For Telugu Titans, defence will be the area of concern. Shubham Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and Ankit must step up as a cohesive unit if they are to contain Pune’s attackers. If the Titans’ backline holds strong, the contest could swing in their favour.
