Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Sajjan Jindal-promoted JSW Infrastructure's qualified institutional placement (QIP) received bids worth over Rs 50,350 crore, nearly seven times the indicative issue size of up to Rs 7,503 crore, according to merchant bankers handling the issue.
The QIP, launched on June 22, witnessed strong participation from leading domestic and global institutional investors, suggesting robust appetite for the country's ports and logistics infrastructure story.
The company planned to raise up to Rs 7,502.7 crore through a QIP of 23 crore fresh equity shares, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of 3.32 crore shares by the promoter. At the floor price of Rs 285 per share, the fresh issue is valued at Rs 6,555 crore and the OFS at Rs 947.7 crore.

The implications of West Asia war, specially diesel price hike, will have a short-term impact on domestic commercial vehicle demand, which is expected to grow in single digit this fiscal but India's macro-economic growth will help overcome it in the long term, Tata Motors Ltd MD & CEO Girish Wagh said on Thursday.
Terming fuel price hikes and increase in cost of commodities as "cyclical headwinds", he said those will lead to some changes in the quarterly and annual demand but in the long term "India growth story will lead to increase in road freight, and therefore the commercial vehicle demand".
"We do have short-term headwinds. The Middle East crisis, the resultant increase in oil prices, and the final resultant but reduced intensity increase in diesel prices -- it is a headwind," Wagh told reporters in an interaction. Noting that commodity cost increase is also a headwind, he said adding "but we believe that these are more cyclical headwinds".

Global alternative asset manager Alpha Wave Global has exited logistics company Delhivery by selling its entire 1.93 per cent stake for Rs 665 crore through open market transactions.
Following the stake sale, shares of Delhivery on Thursday fell 2.21 per cent to trade at Rs 470.40 apiece on the NSE, and the scrip also slipped 2.15 per cent at Rs 470.25 per piece on the BSE.
US-based Alpha Wave Global, through its affiliate, Alpha Wave Ventures, LP, offloaded a total of 1,44,44,800 shares in two tranches, representing a 1.93 per cent stake in Delhivery, as per the bulk deal data available on the BSE and NSE.
The transactions executed on Wednesday in the price range of Rs 460.03-460.36 apiece, taking the combined deal value to Rs 664.74 crore.
At the end of the March quarter, Alpha Wave Ventures, LP held a 1.93 per cent stake in Gurugram-based Delhivery.
