Two persons were killed and nine others injured after a part of a building collapsed in Vasai in Maharashtra's Palghar district, an official said on Wednesday. Three workers died after a building collapsed near Sadbhavna Park in central Delhi's Daryaganj on Wednesday, an official said. A building collapsed near Sadbhavna Park where three workers, including Zubair, Gulsagar and Taufiq, on the site were killed on the spot, he said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Nidhin Valsan said that the injured have been moved to the LNJP Hospital. "Civic authorities, including DDMA, have been informed and rescue efforts are underway. Legal action will be taken after verification of facts," he added. An information about the incident was received at 12.14 pm following which four fire tenders were rushed to the spot where a building, consisting of ground and two floors, collapsed, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said. At least 12 people were injured on Friday evening after a structure being built near the Humayun's Tomb in Delhi's Nizamuddin area collapsed, officials said. Police said that a total of 10 to 12 victims were rescued from the debris after a call regarding the incident was received at 3.55 PM. They suffered injuries and were sent to different hospitals, including AIIMS Trauma and LNJP hospitals. Operation is underway to rescue the person, expected to be trapped under the debris at the school in Piska More area in the state capital, an officer said. "A person was killed when a portion of the roof of a government school building collapsed. We have sent our team for a rescue operation as we received information that another person is trapped inside," Sudkhdeo Nagar Police Station in-charge Manoj Kumar told PTI. Kumar said the deceased was an elderly person who was sleeping in the verandah of the school when the portion of the roof collapsed. A 46-year-old man was killed after a three-storey commercial building collapsed in Delhi's Bara Hindu Rao area in the early hours of Friday, an official said. A massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Bawana industrial area early Saturday, triggering an explosion that caused the building to collapse, officials said. "Seventeen fire tenders were rushed to the spot in Sector 2 after a call was received at 4.48 am," Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg said. A multi-storey building of a textile factory collapsed in Focal Point area here late Saturday evening, officials said. Six workers are feared trapped under the debris, they said, adding that the rescue operation was underway. One worker has already been rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, they said. All 28 workers trapped under the rubble of a collapsed under-construction building at Kannauj railway station were pulled out safely after a 16-hour-long overnight operation, officials said on Sunday.
