Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district is witnessing continuous rainfall and wind speeds over 50 kmph ahead of Cyclone Jawad landfall.As per the Collector of Srikakulam, "Rainfall is being witnessed across the district since yesterday. Subsequently, it is likely to continue to move north-northeastwards along coastal Odisha towards West Bengal coast," said the IMD.
In view of the impending cyclonic storm 'JAWAD', the Odisha government has ordered to keep the schools closed in 19 districts of the state.
As Cyclone "Jawad" is expected to hit North Andhra Pradesh on early Saturday morning, three teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were deployed in Vishakhapatnam on Friday.Speaking to ANI, NDRF Sub-inspector Satyanarayan said, "We are a total of three teams that are deployed here.
