Electronics manufacturing services firm Dixon Technologies is setting up a Rs 1,000-crore facility near Chennai and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday. The factory, which will come up at Oragadam in neighbouring Kancheepuram district, is expected to generate 5,000 jobs in the region, the state government said. Electronics manufacturing services firm Dixon Technologies expects to close the current fiscal with a revenue of around Rs 19,000 crore, a senior company official said on Thursday. Dixon Technologies vice chairman and managing director Atul Lall said the company has plans to double its headcount over the next two years. "In a short period of just 5-6 years, we have grown from Rs 1,500 crore, and this year, we should close at around Rs 19,000 crore.
