The stunning Cartier necklace at the centre of the heist in "Ocean's 8" has an India connect -- it is inspired by a design crafted in 1931 for the Maharaja of Nawanagar. The original necklace, which belonged to the erstwhile Maharaja of Nawanagar in Jamnagar, Gujarat, featured a 136.25 carat 'Queen of Holland' diamond described as the finest cascade of coloured diamonds. It was designed by Jacques Cartier in 1931 and named 'The Jeanne Toussaint' necklace after its then creative director. The original necklace no longer exists as it was dismantled and its diamonds used to create other pieces. According to Women's Wear Daily, the film's necklace was made within the brand's Paris high jewellery workshop and took around eight weeks to complete. Dia Mirza says exciting work opportunities start thinning out for female actors after they reach a certain age as filmmakers and some male actors "above 50" prefer to cast young heroines. Dia, who is returning to the silver screen after a gap of six years with Rajkumar Hirani's "Sanju", believes the film industry is not that welcoming to female actors in their mid 30s. "For women (actors), especially once they hit their mid 30s, opportunities, unfortunately, start shrinking because some filmmakers want to cast young actresses and most male actors, who have well passed their 50s, (also) want to work with the younger talent.
