Morgan Freeman apologises after sexual misconduct claims

Hollywood star Morgan Freeman has issued an apology statement after finding himself amidst the sexual misconduct allegations made by as many as eight women.In the brief statement, the 80-year-old actor said, "Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. YouTube's mobile-only messaging feature has now been extended to the web version as well.With the messaging feature, you will be able to chat with your friends' right on YouTube.com, The Verge reported.The conversations will be accessible from the chat bubble icon next to the notifications bell on the upper right corner while the chat history will pop up on the bottom left of the screen.You will be able to share content into private conversations using the share button under any YouTube video and select a contact. 'Mudbound' director Dee Rees is returning to Netflix for Anne Hathaway-starrer 'The Last Thing He Wanted'.Rees will direct, produce, and co-write the film, which is an adaptation of the Joan Didion book of the same name, reports The Hollywood Reporter.Set in 1984, the novel was published in 1996.The 'Ocean's 8' star will play the role of a journalist named Elena McMahon, whose career takes an unexpected turn when she inherits her father's job title as an arms dealmaker.Netflix film group head Scott Stuber spoke highly of Rees, whose 2017 drama-film 'Mudbound' received four Oscar nominations."Dee Rees is an incredibly talented filmmaker who continues to make provocative and entertaining films. 'Star Wars' Boba Fett film in works

Disney is developing a "Star Wars" stand-alone movie centered on the bounty hunter Boba Fett. James Mangold is writing and will direct the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The untitled movie will be a part of the studio's "Star Wars" anthology films, which are being spun-off as origin stories. The first anthology film was 2016's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," followed by "Solo: A Star Wars Story," starring Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo. Boba Fett debuted in 1980's "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and re-appeared in 1983's "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" as a mercenary for the Galactic Empire. Jeremy Bulloch played the character in the two movies and Jason Wingreen provided Fett's voice.

Actor Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that Brad Pitt had threatened to kill Harvey Weinstein after she told him of the alleged sexual harassment she experienced at the hands of the disgraced producer. The actor opened up about her experiences with Weinstein ahead of his surrender to the New York Police Department. During an interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, Paltrow said she immediately told her then-boyfriend Pitt when Weinstein asked her for a massage while the two were alone in a hotel room. Pitt confronted the producer when the three attended the opening of "Hamlet on Broadway. "It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall," she said. Pitt then allegedly told Weinstein: "If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I'll kill you." Multiple women accuse Morgan Freeman of sexual harassment, actor apologise

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour on movie sets by as many as eight women. According to the CNN, a total of 16 people spoke to the news outlet about the 80-year-old actor's alleged acts which range from sexually charged verbal harassment to touching. While eight said they had experienced harassment or inappropriate behaviour, another eight said they witnessed Freeman's alleged behaviour. "In all, 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman as part of this investigation, eight of whom said they were victims of what some called harassment and others called inappropriate behaviour by Freeman. Pakistan bans screenings of Indian films during Eid

The Pakistan government has imposed a ban on the screenings of Indian films in the country during the time of Eid.According to a May 24 notification issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exhibition and screening of Indian and foreign films will be banned for two days before the Eid to until two weeks after the holidays.The restrictions would be in place around the period of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Azha.The ministry, in its letter, said the move was taken in order to "revive and promote the local film industry in Pakistan.""All the importers/distributors of the foreign films have been directed to restrain from the screening of Indian films in cinema houses all over the country during the above mentioned time period," the letter stated.This move came after the film producers and artistes in Pakistan complained about facing stiff competition from the Indian and Hollywood movies due to which their films get restricted to a limited number of screens in the ...
