Actor Melissa McCarthy is all set to star in the action comedy "Super-Intelligence". To be directed by Ben Falcone from a script by Steve Mallory, the film follows Carol Peters, a former corporate executive whose earnest yet unfulfilled life is turned upside down when she is selected for observation by the world's first super-intelligence - an artificial intelligence that may or may not take over the world. The film marks the fourth collaboration between Falcone and McCarthy after "Tammy" (2014), "The Boss" (2016) and upcoming "Life of the Party", which is set to release on May 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Falcone and McCarthy will also produce the project through their banner On the Day.

Popular TV host Seth Meyers has shared the story of how his new son, Axel Strahl, was born in the lobby of their New York apartment building. The 44-year-old host revealed on talk show "Late Night with Seth Meyers" that the birth progressed so quickly that him and his wife Alexi Ashe did not had time to board the Uber standing by to take them to the hospital. "My wife is saying the baby is coming, the baby is out. And I looked at my wife and the only way I can describe how my wife looked was she looked like someone who was hiding a baby in a pair of sweatpants," he said. "It was like somebody was trying to sneak a baby on a plane," he joked. Actor TJ Miller has been arrested at LaGuardia Airport for allegedly reporting a false bomb threat in March. According to a press release from the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, the "Deadpool" star was charged "with intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device on a train travelling to Connecticut". On March 18, Miller allegedly called 911, claiming that a female passenger was carrying "a bomb in her bag" on a different train from the one he was catching. The train was subsequently stopped in Connecticut, where the passengers disembarked and a bomb squad searched the area. No explosives were found. An attendant on Miller's train claimed he was "intoxicated" and "had been involved in hostile exchanges with a woman who was sitting in a different row from him". Punjab government today decided not to intervene on the issue of the controversial movie 'Nanak Shah Fakir' in the wake of the film-makers' reported decision not to release the movie in the state. Any decision to ban the movie had become unnecessary in view of the film-makers' "decision" against releasing it in Punjab, chief minister Amarinder Singh said in a statement here. The statement further said the makers of the film, in their petition before the Supreme Court, had clearly stated that "looking at the sensitivity of the issue and the public sentiment involved", they had decided "not to release the film in the state of Punjab for the time being." Taking cognizance of this submission, the chief minister said no action was required on part of the state government at present. The government would review the situation and take an appropriate decision if the same becomes necessary in the future, he said, adding that any attempt to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state would be .

The Supreme Court today criticised the apex religious body of the Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), for imposing restrictions on the film 'Nanak Shah Fakir' and cleared the decks for its nationwide release on April 13. The top court said that once the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) grants certification to a movie, there cannot be any kind of obstruction for its exhibition. A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud said after the certification from CBFC, no group, body, association or individuals can create any kind of disturbance in exhibition of the film.
