It is official - Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak is set to hit theaters on July 20, 2018.Karan Johar confirmed the date on Twitter with a new poster of the movie.Seen embracing in the poster, the couple look spectacular in their simple, next-door avatars.'Dhadak' is an official remake of the hit-Marathi movie 'Sairat' directed by Nagraj Manjule. The Hindi remake is being helmed by Shashank Khaitan, previously known for directing 'Badrinath ki Dulhania'.The film was announced when Karan unveiled the poster of the movie on November 15.Sridevi's daughter will be facing the camera for the first time with this film. However, Shahid Kapoor's brother has already worked in Majid Majidi's film 'Beyond The Clouds.'The film is a co-production between Zee Studios and Dharma Productions and was earlier scheduled to be released on July 6, 2018.
"Get Out" star Lil Rel Howrey is getting his own comedy sitcom at Fox. The network ordered a comedy pilot called "Rel" that stars Howery, best known for playing TSA officer Rod Williams in the Jordan Peele-directed film, reported Entertainment Weekly. The comedy is inspired by Howery's real life and will be executive produced by Mike Scully. The actor also played Robert Carmichael in NBC's "The Carmichael Show".
Actor Ewan McGregor has filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, McGregor has citied "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The 46-year-old star has asked for joint custody of their three children: Clara, 21, Jamyan, 16, Esther, 15 and Anouk, six. In her response Mavrakis has asked for sole custody with visitation for her ex, according to the website. The documents list the date of separation as May 28, 2017. The couple announced their split last year in October. The announcement came amid news that McGregor was spotted getting intimate with his "Fargo" co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Actor Chloe Sevigny, who worked with Woody Allen on 2004 comedy "Melinda and Melinda", has said she would "probably not" collaborate with the filmmaker again. In an interview with Variety, Sevigny shared the "turmoil" she is going through because of her decision of working with Allen, who was accused by his adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow of sexual assaulting her when she was seven. The director has time and again denied the allegations. "I have my own turmoil that I'm grappling with over that decision. Would I work with him again? Probably not," Sevigny said. Sevigny joins a chorus of actors who have either donated their salaries from Allen's movies to the Time's Up campaign, including Rebecca Hall and Timothee Chalamet, or expressed regret in agreeing to co-star in one of his projects.

Actor Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Juri, and Charlie Hunnam have joined the cast of "A Million Little Pieces". The actors join Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Giovanni Ribisi in the detox drama, reported Variety. The film is adapted from James Frey's bestseller "A Million Little Pieces" by director Sam Taylor-Johnson and her actor husband Aaron. The book, published as a memoir in 2003, chronicles Frey's battle with drug addiction. It's big screen adaptation was in works at the Warner Bros studio but following revelation by the Smoking Gun website, which accused of Frey of fabrication, the project was shelved. However, the project is back in works with Sam as director and Aaron in the lead role.
Director Ryan Coogler said Marvel bosses wanted "Black Panther" to feel like a James Bond movie. The "Creed" director said he watched a lot of movies based on Ian Fleming's iconic spy character while making the film. "When I first started talking to Marvel, one thing they were interested in was for Panther to be their version of James Bond, which I thought was incredibly interesting and exciting," Coogler told Total Film magazine. "It was a really outside-of-the-box way to look at T'Challa. There are some Bond films that I really, really like, and it gave me the opportunity to go watch some other ones," he added. "Black Panther" stars Chadwick Boseman in the titular role and also feature actors Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis and others.
Singer Mel C has said the sexism that persisted in the music industry in the 1990s was one of the reason that gave birth to her band Spice Girl's slogan "girl power". The 44-year-old singer was part of the famous band alongside Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner (Nee Halliwell). She said the slogan was result of the discrimination they experienced, reported Femalefirst. "'Girl power' was something that we never intended. When we started we were a pop group and we just wanted to sing and be famous and travel the world and we never really thought about that side of things at all," Mel C said. Disney Studios has hired Danny Strong to write the script for its modern musical take on Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" . The "Empire" co-creator will pen the script for the film, which will be helmed by Thomas Kail, according to The Hollywood reporter . Producer Marc Platt, who was behind Broadway's hit musical "Wicked", will produce the project along with Jeff Kwatinetz. "Oliver Twist" is one of Dickens' most famous works, which tells a story of an orphan boy, who moves from a life as an exploited child labourer to being under the wings of Fagin, a leader of a gang of London pickpockets. Rapper Ice Cube and Kwatinetz are writing the treatment of the project, with Cube attached to play Fagin.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the "Creed" actor said Hollywood is moving with the times when it comes to cultural diversity. "It's the best time to be a person of colour in Hollywood who's creative and has original projects. Everybody wants that right now. That's how I feel - I feel it's a timing thing. Actor Samuel L Jackson said audiences will see his Marvel character Nick Fury without his iconic eye patch in the "Captain Marvel" movie. The 69-year-old actor, who has played the character in six Marvel films till now, will be appearing in "Captain Marvel" starring Brie Larson in the titular role, along with Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn. "But we're going back now, and I meet Captain Marvel in more of an origin story," Jackson told AV Club. "You'll see Nick Fury with another guy's face, somebody that's got two eyes, so that's a whole big deal. You'll see. It's prior to the eye injury, no eye patch," he added. "Captain Marvel" follows Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA is fused with that of an alien during an accident. The resulting alteration imbues her with the superpowers of strength, energy projection and flight. "Captain Marvel" is expected to arrive in theatres on March 8, 2019.
