Took help of doctor to stop being an emotional wreck post Satyamev Jayate: Aamir

Superstar Aamir Khan has revealed that filming his talk show "Satyamev Jayate" was such a "traumatic" experience for him he had to consult a doctor by the end of the first season. The show focuses on sensitive social issues prevalent in the country, from female foeticide, child sexual abuse to honour killings. "Going through that entire journey of the first season was very traumatic for me. To the extent, I had become emotionally very brittle, I was in very bad shape. At the end of the one year, I could not go out. For absolutely no reason at all, I would just break down," Aamir said. The actor said it troubled him more as he isn't trained in distancing himself while listening to people's emotional turmoil. "I was an emotional wreck. I also got some help from a doctor. It was just very... (tough) because I am not trained to listen to emotional issues of people and keep a distance. I am not able to do that." He speaking at a session 'Giving Matters' at NASSCOM Technology and Leadership

Captain Marvel' gives a nod to action sequences from The Matrix', Terminator 2': Ryan Fleck

Filmmaker Ryan Fleck says "Captain Marvel" features some action nuggets from Hollywood sci-fi hits such as "The Matrix" and "Terminator 2". The co-director of the Brie Larson-fronted first female Marvel superhero standalone says he and partner Anna Boden have pulled some references from films, including 1972 Best Picture Oscar winner "French Connection", that have had an everlasting impact on them. "Every action sequence is different. There is one in the film's trailer where you see Captain Marvel on the train and Nick Fury is in the car chasing. "So we call that the 'French Connection' sequence, which is a movie from the '70s. That was a huge inspiration for us. There are some sequences which we have pulled from other movies - 'The Matrix' and 'Terminator 2', Fleck said at the Directors' Session, held at Marina Bay Sands hotel here. Last week, he and Boden interacted with around 237 students, who came from city-based institutions such as Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, ...

So they auditioned some 80 to 100 girls but Nitin sir (director Nitin Kakkar) felt I was the right choice," Pranutan said while interacting with media at the trailer preview .
