Jude Law is all set to headline a six-part limited series by HBO and Sky, titled "The Third Day". The drama is the latest original collaboration between HBO and Sky and comes after the critical success of "Chernobyl", according to the Hollywood Reporter. The series is set on a mysterious island off the coast of Britain and revolves around Sam (Law) who encounters the island's secretive inhabitants and their strange rituals. Fantasy and reality began to blur for Sam, triggering past traumas, and brings him into conflict with the islanders, according to the official logline. The series will be directed by Marc Munden of "National Treasure" and "Utopia" fame. The shooting will take place in the UK in July. Samoa bans 'Rocketman' over depiction of homosexuality
Samoa has put a ban on "Rocketman", the Elton John biopic, over its depiction of homosexuality. According to Entertainment Weekly, the principal censor of the South Pacific island country, Leiataua Niuapu Faaui said the shows of the film, starring Taron Egerton as John, were cancelled. The news first broke last Friday after Apollo Cinemas Samoa's post on Facebook. "Unfortunately due to censoring issues we have had to cancel Rocketman," the status read. "Rocketman" clashed with Samoa's "culture and our Christian beliefs," Faaui told newspaper Somoa Observer. He added, the film is "not good for public viewing and violates laws against same-sex marriage". A rep from the Samoan government did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Veteran actor turned politician Radha Ravi, who was suspended from DMK for making derogatory comments on actress Nayanthara, rejoined AIADMK on Wednesday.The former DMK leader was inducted into the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.General Secretary of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) K Anbazhagan had suspended Radha Ravi from the party in March after concluding the disciplinary proceedings against him.Ravi had passed derogatory remarks against the actress at the trailer launch of her film 'Kolayuthir Kaalam'.Radha Ravi previously joined AIADMK in the early 2000s and in the 2002 Assembly elections, he was fielded from Saidapet constituency.In the 2006 elections, however, he was not re-nominated.
