'Mirzapur' second season to arrive next year, confirms Ali Fazal
Ali Fazal on Thursday confirmed the second season of his gangster drama, "Mirzapur". The actor, who plays gun-toting gangster Guddu Pandit in the Amazon Prime Video series, revealed that the follow-up to the show is expected to arrive in early 2019. "About season 2, hopefully early next year. We are hoping to bring you back to the world of 'Mirzapur'. So early next year we would but before season 2 I have some film commitments to finish both here and abroad and yeah, then after that we will begin," Fazal said in a statement. The nine-episode series, produced under the banner Excel Entertainment, also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Diveyndu Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Shweta Tripathi in key roles. "Mirzapur" season one started streaming from November 16.

U'khand govt sets up panel to examine objections about Kedarnath
The Uttarakhand government has constituted a panel headed by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj to look into objections being raised about upcoming film Kedarnath, a love story set against the backdrop of the 2013 deluge, an official release said. Starring actor Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan the film directed by Ashish Kapoor releases tomorrow. Headed by Maharaj, the committee set up on Wednesday has Home Secretary Nitesh Jha, Information Secretary Dilip Jawalkar and DGP Anil Raturi as members, the release said. The panel will examine the objections being raised about the movie and submit its report to the government. An appropriate decision on the screening of the movie across the state will be taken on basis of its report, it said. U'khand govt constitutes 4-member committee to probe complaints against 'Kedarnath'
The Uttarakhand Government on Wednesday constituted a four-member committee under tourism minister Satpal Maharaj to probe complaints related to the film 'Kedarnath'. The government will take a decision on screening the movie in Uttarakhand after the committee submits its report.Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court will hear a plea against the Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan-starrer on Thursday.The petition, filed by lawyers Ramesh Chandra Mishra and Prabhakar Tripathi, seeks to reassess the film by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on grounds that "it hurts religious sentiments and promotes love-jihad".The plea also stated that shooting a love scene at Kedarnath, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus, hurts their religious sentiments.The petitioners have demanded that the movie, which is slated to hit the big screens on December 7, should not be released until the CBFC clears it again.The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor and also stars Nitish ...
