According to The Independent, the Jimmy Hoffa disappearance film, which reunites the trio of De Niro, actor Joe Pesci and Scorsese after 22 years, will be released by Netflix next year. "How they resolve it is, in the beginning, they will show it on the big screen, we're talking about big venues where it would play, where it should play, and what happens after that I'm not sure," De Niro said on the sidelines of Marrakech Film Festival. Scorsese talked about his collaboration with the streaming giant, saying Netflix is "taking risks" with the movie. "'The Irishman' is a risky film. No one else wanted to fund the pic for five to seven years. And of course we're all getting older. ...

'Talvar' changed perspectives but don't believe it influenced court decision: Meghna Gulzar

Her film "Talvar" on the 2008 Aarushi-Hemraj twin murder case may have changed perspectives "to some extent" but it will be wrong to say it had any influence on the Allahabad High Court acquitting dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, asserts director Meghna Gulzar. The Talwars acquittal, in the sensational murder case of their teen daughter and domestic help, has been challenged by the CBI in the Supreme Court. "... our judiciary operates free from all biases. They also looked at the facts of the case, like we did and processed them with more objectivity, Meghna said at the Times Literature Festival Sunday when asked whether the film had any impact on the 2017 verdict. "....I would indeed like to believe that the film has, to some extent changed the perspective of the people," she said. Gulzar's 2015 film, starring Konkona Sensharma, Neeraj Kabi and Irrfan in lead roles, deconstructed the double murder from three different perspectives. Though the film presented all versions, some .

Audiences letting filmmakers down, says Paul Schrader

"Taxi Driver" writer Paul Schrader says current lack of quality films in Hollywood is because audiences no longer take films seriously. Schrader, who most recently wrote and directed "First Reformed", starring Eathan Hawke, says there are talented filmmakers keen to explore social issues through cinema but they are being let down by the viewers, reported Deadline. "There are people who talk about the American cinema of the 70s as some halcyon period. It was to a degree but not because there were any more talented filmmakers. There's probably, in fact, more talented filmmakers today than there was in the 70s. What there was in the 70s was better audiences, he said. When people take movies seriously it's very easy to make a serious movie, he continued. When they don't take it seriously, it's very, very hard. We now have audiences that don't take movies seriously so it's hard to make a serious movie for them. It's not that us filmmakers are letting you down, it's you audiences are ...

The "God is a Woman" hitmaker and Davidson split in October after a whirlwind engagement. Grande performed at NBC's "A Very Wicked Halloween" where she was seen covering her "Pete" tattoo with a Band-Aid. After a few weeks, the singer got the "Reborn" tattoo on her hand, that she got along with Davidson, converted into a type of feather or leaf. The former couple got a heart design over other inks, which almost made it seem as if they got matching break-up tattoos. Grande's most recent tattoo rework was a tribute to Mac Miller, her ex-boyfriend who died in September. Her fan account posted an Instagram video, was apparently from a behind-the-scenes from her "Thank U, Next" music video, where she was dressed like Reese Witherspoon's "Legally Blonde" character of Elle Woods teaching Jennifer Coolidge the forever iconic ...
